Sustainability App Concept
daily environmental impact
Our day to day actions have an impact on the environment around us. We want to empower families who are ready to make small changes in their lives to know the next step they can take to improve their environmental impact.
In collaboration with Zoe Schlosser and Grace Anaple, we conceptualized a platform that targets actions in our daily lives that have an impact on the environment around us. Our aim was to empower families to make changes in their purchasing decisions to improve their environmental impact.

behind the process
Focus Areas
In an effort to narrow our scope in such a complex topic, we determined the top 4 areas that we would like our users to participate in and learn from.
survey validation
In a survey sample of 130+ individuals we confirmed that this app may be a viable addition to the app store and already has interest behind the concept.

user journey map
Stepping into the shoes of our target consumer. We live in a world of constant toxic consumerism, constantly going about our day using things that harm the earth. As consumers we are beginning to become more aware of these impacts but have a long way to go.
The top of the map lays out a day in the life and all of the products that are being consumed throughout the day, then below that is a chart mapping out the environmental impacts of those activities.
The bottom displays what 3R aims to do, provide alternatives for these activities that would in return decrease their negative environmental impact from day to day.
